According to several online automotive publication reports, Ram will stop importing ProMaster City to the United States at the end of this season and Ford will drop the Transit Connect at the end of 2023. The two were the last of the remaining vehicles in the once popular niche segment. Ram and Ford have not commented on the reports of once niche but popular segment of the utilitarian vehicles. Compact Vans: So Long, Farewell Ford, which brought the new segment of compact vans into the United States in 2010, offered the Transit Connect as a passenger van and cargo van. By any given name, the base model will use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, according to several automotive website reports. The engine is also featured in the Transit Connect model and generates 162 hp and 144 lb-ft of torque. Slotted below the Ford Ranger, the Maverick or Courier (or another name) will have unibody construction, with a similar look to the Honda Ridgeline. Read moreOne recall is bad enough, but 2014 Ford Fusion owners have gotten the unsettling news that three times in the past week their cars have been recalled for steering problems. Adding further worries, Ford has also recalled Lincoln MKZ (2013-2015), Ford Edge (2015), and Ford Fiesta (2013-2015) pushing the manufacturer’s car and truck recall list in the past week to nearly one million units.
