There’s no more iconic color in the automotive world than Ferrari Red. Yellow, blue, white or any other color Ferrari is perfectly fine, too. Unless, it’s a Ferrari 430 Scuderia and it’s been turned into a canvas for one of Laurence Gartel’s wild creations.
Gartel, known as the “Father of Digital Art,” has had his work exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, among other museums, in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum of American History.
But Gartel, who has created artwork for many musicians, including Debbie Harry (Blondie), Sid Vicious (Sex Pistols) Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears, has taken the pure beauty of a Ferrari and turned it into a nightmare.
The over-the-top video below is ripe with odd-angled perspectives and over-dubbed sound effects.
For Ferrari purists or non digital art enthusiasts, a case could easily be made for the Scuderia creation as The World’s Ugliest Ferrari.”
Then again, considering Gartel’s popularity, the Ferrari with the artist’s signature work is likely considered a masterpiece by his fans. Gartel has made other similar artwork, most notably on a Tesla.
