The Ferrari Luce starts at $560,800 in the United States before options, Ferrari has confirmed, and American deliveries begin in the second quarter of 2027. At the European Central Bank’s rate on May 25, the day Ferrari revealed the car in Rome, its €550,000 European price came to $640,365.

That European figure includes Italy’s 22% value-added tax, and the American one leaves out state sales tax. With the VAT removed, the Luce costs €450,820 in Italy. I converted that to $505,143 at the ECB’s October 22 rate, which puts the U.S. sticker $55,657 higher, about 11%.

  • Against Italy’s pre-tax price, the U.S. sticker is $55,657 higher at the ECB’s October 22 rate of 1.1205, about 11%.
  • Cars imported from the EU pay a combined 15% U.S. duty on their declared import value, in force since August 1, 2025.

Europe’s €550,000 Includes €99,180 in Italian VAT

Italy taxes a new car at 22%, so €99,180 of the €550,000 goes to the state. American window stickers are quoted before tax, which makes the pre-tax Italian figure the one to set beside $560,800.

Cars Built in Italy Pay a 15% U.S. Tariff

Passenger cars imported from the European Union have paid a combined 15% duty since August 1, 2025, under the U.S.-EU trade framework that the Commerce Department and the U.S. Trade Representative put into effect in the Federal Register on September 25, 2025. Customs charges it on the declared import value rather than on the sticker.

Ferrari set its American tariff policy on March 27, 2025. Terms on the 296, SF90 and Roma families stayed as they were, and for the remaining models Ferrari said the new import conditions would be “partially reflected on pricing, up to a maximum 10 per cent increase, in coordination with our dealer network.”

The Luce arrived 14 months later, with the duty already in force.

State Sales Tax Comes on Top of the $560,800

California’s statewide rate of 7.25%, before local district taxes, adds $40,658 and brings a Luce to $601,458. That total still sits $14,817 under the converted Italian price with VAT at the October 22 rate. The $560,800 excludes options, which Ferrari has not priced publicly.

Up to 1,036 hp and a 122 kWh Battery

Four motors derived from the F80 hypercar give the Luce up to 1,036 hp under launch control, and Range Mode, which Ferrari tunes for distance, caps it at 430 hp with the rear wheels doing most of the work. Ferrari quotes more than 530 km from its 122 kWh battery on Europe’s WLTP cycle, about 329 miles, and the EPA has not published a figure.

Ferrari warrants the powertrain for eight years with unlimited mileage.

Set against the pre-tax Italian price, the American sticker runs $55,657 higher at the October 22 rate, with a 15% import duty between the two markets and state sales tax still to be added here.
