Tata Motors will soon introduce the Nano Plus, a more powerful and restyled version of the original vehicle introduced by India’s largest auto manufacturer in 2009 as the world’s cheapest car.
The Nano, predicted to be available in 2011, with feature a 1,000 cc engine instead of the 623 cc engine of the current Nano model. It will also include ABS brakes, alloy wheels, and integrated music system and an improved interior.

Tata hopes the Nano Plus, for which reservations recently began, will compete with the Maruti Alto and Chevrolet Spark, but its price has not been announced.
Tata Motor is also expected to fix the safety problems that caused numerous 2010 Nano models from catching fire.
The top-three models in minicar and subcompact segments for 2010 are expected to be the Maruti Suzuki Alto, Hyundai i10 and Tata Indica.
The Nano is projected to come in at the No. 2 spot in 2011 after Tata raises production. According to analysts’ expectations the top models by 2017 would be the Alto, Nano and Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, according to the industry analysts.
