Discover Dubai with Ease: Why Renting a Car is the Best Choice for Tourists

As an editor, I see a lot of people plan their dream trips to Dubai. It’s always the same story. They get hyped about the futuristic skyscrapers and desert adventures, but then a little bit of panic sets in. That nagging question: “How are we actually going to get around?” This is one of the top reasons to rent a car. Many start to consider renting a car only after picturing the worst-case scenarios: waiting for expensive taxi rides or getting hopelessly lost trying to figure out a metro system that doesn’t even go to all the cool spots. So,

2013 Mazda MX-5 Miata: World’s top-selling, two-seat roadster

The Mazda MX-5 Miata was a sensation when it arrived as a 1990 model. It was an alluring, reliable copy for only $13,800 of the unreliable-but-respected 1960s-70s Lotus Elan costly low-volume sports car. The 2013 MX-5 Miata, which I tested in new “Club” trim, hasn’t lost the original’s charm. The first Miata quickly won over male auto buffs and replaced the Volkswagen convertible as the most desirable car among female high school and college students. And never mind that this two-seater lacked the Volkswagen’s back seat. The Miata is still very much with us, and is the record-holding top-selling two-seat

Honda CR-V, 2007: The Weekly Driver

There wasn’t much to complain about with the previous Honda CR-V. It provided a keen balance of versatility, comfort and utility vehicle refinement. But with the 2007 redesign, the manufacturer has done what Honda always seems to do. It took something good and made it better. For starters, the new CR-V has a restyled exterior. Its previous boxy appearance has been streamlined with elements of BMW and Audi. The new CR-V is also three inches shorter than its predecessor, but the wheelbase and interior dimensions are nearly the same as previous models. Honda further upgraded the vehicle by removing the

Hyundai is among nearly a dozen auto-related companies that will advertise during Super Bowl KLIV. Its 2010 Tucson is getting strong reviews, and with this 30-second commercial, the Korean carmaker takes a classy approach. It doesn’t specifically poke fun at any other manufacturer. Rather it touts the technological virtues of the new Tucson and simply asks the question why other manufacturer’s don’t already offer than same? The commercial is straight-forward, devoid of overt flash, talking animals and anything risking being cute. It just gets the job done Matthew WildeMatthew Wilde is an automotive journalist with experience contributing to leading publications.
