American Honda Motor Company is recalling 167,000 Acura TSX models between 2004-2008 because of a hose defect that could cause a fire. The cars being recalled are Acura TSX models sold in the United States with a 2.4-liter inline 4-cylinder engine.
The power steering hoses, according to the manufacturer, could deteriorate prematurely from prolonged exposure to high under-the-hood temperatures.
If the hose deteriorates excessively and cracks, it could cause lead smoke or fire from power steering fluid spraying onto hot engine components.[ad#post]
