Hot Wheels, the makers for more than 50 years of minature die-cast cars, has signed as a new sponsor and reciprocated with its first celebrity-designed and signature model — both for Danica Patrick. The new Hot Wheels offering will be called the “Danicar.”
Patrick is credited as a co-designer of the new Hot Wheels and will be available as part of the basic 1:64 scale rather than on limited edition.
“My life is all about high velocity cars, and the only car company I could imagine being able to create my vision of the ultimate fantasy car is Hot Wheels,” said Patrick. “On the track, I am looking forward to speeding toward the finish line in true Hot Wheels style.”
Patrick recently crashed out her NASCAR debut early in a 12-car pile up at Daytona International Speedway.
