Jay Leno honors Sam Walton, Walmart with new old F-150

Sam Walton needed one vehicle; Jay Leno has hundreds. But the comedian and founder of Walmart both knew about business, marketing and a good truck when they saw one. Which is why Walmart and Leno, the renowned collector, have collaborated to reimagine the late Walton’s 1979 Ford F-150. BREAKING NEWS: Mercedes-Benz live celebrity Zoom show

With so many automotive events, the Geneva International Motor Show to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance to the Paris Motor Show, all canceled, Zoom had a good idea. In a hastily announced press release, Mercedes-Benz will have an online automotive show on Zoom called the Concours de Zoom. It will feature the Mercedes-Benz vehicles of celebrities and car collectors ranging from Jay Leno to Martha Stewart. The just-announced event will be broadcast on Zoom at 2 p.m. Pacific Time, 5 p.m., Eastern Time. Jay Leno knows a lot about all kinds of cars, his favorite vintage Bentley sedans to the varied selection of James Bond cars. In a recent episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, the NBC automotive show in which Leno examines and drives new and old vehicles, the comedian discusses the legend of Bond cars, including the manufacture of 10 Aston Martin DB10 model for Spectre. Jay Leno in driver’s seat of new network auto show

Jay Leno will be returning to television with a primetime show on CNBC, and it will be centered around his passion for automobiles, according to several celebrity and television news websites. Leno, 64, stopped hosting the “Tonight Show” in February. Industry reports say Leno was contacted by several networks, including CNN, A&E and the History Channel to host a program about cars. Leno wanted to remain in the NBC “family.” Leno has a strong relationship with CNBC president Mark Hoffman. It broadcast a “Jay’s Garage” special in September called “Jay’s Garage: The Ultimate Car Week.” Leno is among the world’s most prominent car and motorcycle collectors. Reports vary, but Leno apparently owns nearly 900 vehicles (769 automobiles and 117 motorcycles).
