New Bugatti Chiron: 0-60 mph, 2.0 seconds, $2.5 million

A decade ago, the Bugatti Veyron set the standard for supercars. Now the iconic carmaker is attempting to reclaim its former top perch with the Bugatti Chiron. While vehicles like the Porsche 918 Spyder and McLaren P1 have come into prominence, the Bugatti Chiron will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2016 with numerous upgrades from its current sibling. The more powerful Bugatti is expected to have direct injection and electrically-powered turbochargers. It’s reportedly also going to feature 1,500 horsepower and 1,100 pound-feet of torque. Rare Bugatti Veyrons at auction, rare pedal car an option

The first and last hardtop Bugatti Veyron supercars made, numbers #001 and #300, went up for aution in RM Sotheby’s auction Thursday night, Aug. 13 during Monterey Auto Week. It will be nteresting to note what prices the two rare cars attract as well as the difference between the selling points the two iconic vehicles. The three-day auction, which began with a preview Aug. 12, is being held at the Portola Hotel and Spa in Monterey. Chevrolet and Chrysler is understood. But a Bugatti and an Aston Martin as police cars? It can’t be true, can it? Turns out it is the United Arab Emirates, specifically Dubai. Bugatti honor: World’s fastest, most rare, most expensive car

The 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic recently won the Best of Show at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy, and there’s plenty of reason. Only four production Atlantics were made and they were made with plain aluminum, featured flowing coupes lines and a pronounced dorsal seam running front to back. Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sports defines automotive supply and demand: 30 made, 30 sold

Bugatti enthusiasts apparently can make up their minds quickly to spend substantial amounts of money for their favorite car. The elite Italian carmaker has announced all 30 of the new Veyron 16.4 Super Sport have sold — each starting with a base price of about $2.3 million. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport has an eight-liter W16 engine matched with a seven-speed dual-clutch and 1,200 horsepower. It has a top speed of 257 mph. Last June, the Veyron achieved on a test track a new land speed world record for production cars at 268 mph. The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport is still available. It’s not as quick as the Veryon, but has a stop speed 223 mph.
