Finally, after weeks of anticipation, it will all begin Saturday, Aug. 28 at 9:30 a.m. local time in Pierce, Nebraska.

The Lambrecht dealearship, a family owned business in community for decades, closed several years ago. Some cars in the dealership were kept indoors, others outside.

Online bidding for the cars began weeks ago. But the onsite bidding will start with posters, tires, signs, and Lambrecht Chevrolet memorabilia. A Chevy Pedal Car called the “kiddie Corvette” will be included.

A 1958 Chevy Cameo Pickup truck with one mile on the odometer will be the first auctioned vehicle. The 1978 Indy Pace car, with four miles on the odometer and still with plastic covers on its seats will follow.

Two Chevy Impalas, a 1963 with 11 miles traveled and a 1964 with only four miles on its odometer, will also be auctioned.

The auction runs through Sunday, Sept. 29. The second day of the sale will feature 340 vehicles, including numerous Fords, Pontiacs and Studebakers.
