American Honda Motor Company is recalling 167,000 Acura TSX models between 2004-2008 because of a hose defect that could cause a fire. The cars being recalled are Acura TSX models sold in the United States with a 2.4-liter inline 4-cylinder engine.
The power steering hoses, according to the manufacturer, could deteriorate prematurely from prolonged exposure to high under-the-hood temperatures.
If the hose deteriorates excessively and cracks, it could cause lead smoke or fire from power steering fluid spraying onto hot engine components.

Prior to the recall, Acura had received one report of a fire caused a power steering hose defect.
Visit: owners.acura.com/recalls or call 800-382-2238 for a full list of recalled vehicles. Dealerships will replace the power steering hose, O-ring gasket and fluid will be replaced without charge.
