Known issues

High
NHTSA 24V-497 (July 2024) covers certain 2022-2023 Air vehicles. When a hardware communication fault is detected, the High Voltage Interlock software could disconnect the high-voltage contactors while the car is moving and cause a loss of drive power. Lucid released an over-the-air update on June 24, 2024.
Medium
NHTSA 23V-110 (February 2023) covers certain 2022-2023 Air vehicles. The contactor switches that send energy to the drive motors may open unexpectedly and cut power to the motors. Lucid Service Centers update the software and replace the contactors as necessary, free of charge.
Low
Lucid's spec sheet gives the Touring 92 kWh on 18 modules and DC charging at up to 250 kW, against 300 kW for the 22-module Grand Touring.
Low
The 2023 Air Pure with all-wheel drive used this pack. Lucid's 2023 EPA filing lists it with 18 modules, 5,400 cells, 92 kWh nominal and 660 volts. The rear-drive Pure that followed for 2024 has a smaller 16-module pack.

How this pack ages (industry context)

Industry fleet aggregates: 2.3% average annual capacity loss across 22,700 EVs / 21 models (Geotab, 2026), and 95% range retention at 5 years on average across 30,000+ vehicles (Recurrent, 2026).

OEM warranty floor on this pack: 8 yr / 100k mi to 70% capacity.

Public per-pack degradation curves are not available for most models. Individual results vary materially with climate, charging behavior, and DC fast-charge frequency.

26V309000 May 13, 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:INVERTER

Lucid USA, Inc. (Lucid) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Air vehicles equipped with rear-wheel drive. The Gen 4 inverter may experience internal friction and become damaged, causing a loss of drive power.

Consequence: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.

24V836000 Nov 5, 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM

Lucid USA, Inc. (Lucid) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Air Pure rear wheel drive vehicles. The rear subframe wiring harness may be too short, straining the electrical connection and causing power loss to the rear drive unit (RDU).

Consequence: A loss of power to the rear drive unit can result in a complete loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

Lucid USA, Inc. (Lucid) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Air vehicles. When a hardware communication fault is detected, the High Voltage Interlock (HVIL) software could disconnect the high voltage contactors while the vehicle is in motion, causing a loss of drive power.

Consequence: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.

23V110000 Feb 22, 2023 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:FUSES, RELAYS, CONTACTS, AND SHUNTS

Lucid USA, Inc. (Lucid) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Air vehicles. The electrically activated contact switches that transfer energy to the drive motors, may unexpectedly open, cutting off power to the electric motors.

Consequence: Power loss will shut down electric motors, causing a loss of drive power and increasing the risk of a crash.
