Top-level professional cycling teams travel day to day at major races in custom motorhomes. The most prominent team in the world is Team Sky from Great Britain, and it’s selling one of its motorhomes used during the Tour of Italy and Tour de France.
The three-liter Eura Mobile 820HS, now for sale on eBay.com was used by the team for the past four or five years, according to a report on the website CyclingNews.com. Riders on the team included Tour de France winners Sir Bradley Wiggins and Chris Froome.
The site further details that the motorhome for sale was one of he team’s smaller coaches. It was likely used during time trials and stationed at the finish of stage. It was also likely utilized throughout the world at smaller races.
Images and other signage on the side of the bus indicate Team Sky’s 2014 roster.
The eBay listing provides vast details of the motorhome, including: fixed double bed over cab, six berth, double dinette, large, u-shape lounge which makes two single beds or a large double bed, six-speed gear box, refrigerator, oven/grill with four burners, washroom with separate shower, sink and electric flush toilet.
The features list continues with such items as panoramic roof light, cruise control, electric windows and a rebuilt clutch (2,000 miles ago). It has a diesel engine, manual transmission and was manufactured in 2009.
The motorhome is 26 feet long and the current owner states that all team signage will be removed, with some exception. The current bid is $60,000.
