Super Bowl hype begins as Hyundai reveals ad campaign

Hyundai had a lot of success with 'Dad's Sixth Sense' Super Bowl commercial.

Let the Super Bowl hype begin. Hyundai will do its share. In its first year as an official NFL sponsor the carmaker will have four commercials televised before, during the broadcast and at haltime of Super Bowl 50 next February.

Hyundai, a long-time Super Bowl advertiser, will run two in-game 30-second spots before halftime, with the new creative appearing during the first and second quarter of the game.

Hyundai also secured the coveted pre-kick slot and will run a new 60-second ad as viewers are primed for the start of The Big Game. The pre-game show will also feature another all-new 60-second Hyundai spot.

Hyundai did not advertise in this year’s Super Bowl, but the Koream manufactur will be part of the game for the eighth time in nine years.

in 2014, “Dad’s Sixth Sense,” featuring the all-new 2015 Hyiundai Genesis, placed sixth on USA Today’s all-important Ad Meter. Ace Metrix, the industry standard in television and video advertising analytics, awarded the spot a No. 2 ranking.

In the ad, a dad rescues his son multiple times as he’s growing up — the Dad’s sixth sense. Then when it was time for driver’s education, this time the auto safety braking of the Hyundai Genesis saves the day, as the son is distracted by a sexy girl crossing the street flirting with him. Accident avoided.
