NHTSA 26V-362 (June 2026) covers certain 2020-2022 Pacifica plug-in hybrids. The battery pack may cause a fire, even when the vehicle is parked with the ignition off. Owners are told not to charge and to park outside and away from structures until dealers update the battery pack control module software and inspect and replace the battery pack as necessary, free of charge. FCA's filing adds a warranty extension with no time or mileage limit that replaces the battery on affected vehicles showing the related warning messages.

Owners are told not to charge and to park outside and away from structures until dealers update the battery pack control module software and inspect and replace the battery pack as necessary, free of charge. 24V-536 applies to 2017-2018 vans that already had the software update under 22V-077 (February 2022), and they need the new remedy.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid Electric vehicles (PHEV). After the vehicle has been operating in PHEV propulsion mode, the gas-fueled engine may not restart properly resulting in unburned fuel entering the exhaust catalyst.

Consequence: The improperly started engine could result in a loss of motive power increasing the risk of a crash or the unburned fuel in the catalyst may ignite increasing the risk of a fire.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid Electric vehicles (PHEV). The affected vehicles have diodes in the Power Inverter Module ("PIM") that may fail due to an overvoltage condition. If the diodes fail, the vehicle will not move under its own power.

Consequence: A vehicle that suddenly cannot be driven, increases the risk of a crash.
