Comment on 2024 Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV: luxury, utility, performance, pricey by Anshul https://theweeklydriver.com/2024/02/2024-mercedes-amg-eqe-suv-luxury-utility-performance-pricey/#comment-33034 Mon, 12 Aug 2024 09:53:00 +0000 https://theweeklydriver.com/?p=44517#comment-33034 The 2024 Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV is a standout in the luxury electric vehicle market, combining sophisticated design, high performance, and practical utility. While its advanced features and impressive performance make it a desirable option, the price tag might be a consideration for potential buyers. For those interested in maintaining or enhancing their Mercedes vehicles, checking out Benz Injection for quality parts and injectors is a great idea.

Comment on #138, Tom Britzman: A 1917 Saxon and 80 years of driving by Diane Allen https://theweeklydriver.com/2020/06/138-podcast-1917-saxon-6/#comment-33008 Wed, 26 Jun 2024 15:15:41 +0000 https://theweeklydriver.com/?p=32912#comment-33008 I own a 1917 Saxon Six that belonged to my father before his death in 1987. His name was Leon Maurer from Terre Haute, Indiana, and he bought the Saxon (along with a parts car) to be restored sometime around 1976. It has been sitting in my garage in Greenwood, Indiana, since 1990. We have kept it warm and dry, but I am downsizing for a move in a few weeks. I still am not sure what to do with my 1917 Saxon Six.

Comment on 2024 Land Rover Defender: rugged, expensive by Chris Marrington https://theweeklydriver.com/2024/02/2024-land-rover-defender-rugged-expensive/#comment-32944 Wed, 14 Feb 2024 15:00:57 +0000 https://theweeklydriver.com/?p=44527#comment-32944 Greetings: I really enjoyed this article on the Land Rover Defender. Pedantry is one of my weaknesses, so I hope you won’t mind if I point out that the outback is what the Australians call their wilderness areas. In Africa, we simply call it the bush. As for taking the new Defender anywhere near such inhospitable terrain, it’s not to be recommended. Way too many electronic gizmos which will undoubtedly fail in such extreme conditions, which is why most safari vehicles are Toyota Landcruisers. Thanks for an enjoyable read every week.

Comment on 1955 Ford Thunderbird (two-seater), 1955-57 Car Review by Jim Dei https://theweeklydriver.com/2011/02/1955-ford-thunderbird-two-seater-car-review/#comment-32943 Wed, 14 Feb 2024 05:56:38 +0000 https://theweeklydriver.com/?p=7979#comment-32943 The outside spare tire did not improve weight balance, to the contrary, it made the car badly unbalanced. It also overloaded the frame structure and ford quickly had to modify the frame with stiffener plates. It did look good, however. To make a proper fix they lengthened the car for 57 and put the spare back in the trunk. Most people consider the 57 the best looking of the three years but of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

A journalist just basing the article on the spec sheets and not reliability and resale value when talking about a Honda product.
